ChamJam
2000 was the biggest and best yet. Several thousand
spectators watched the true ChamJam ethos: as an 18
year old local kid beat off the assembled professional
skiers to win the Big Air title and an invitation to
the ESPN X-Games. In
the snowboard disciplines local hero and Burton professional,
Tony Roos took the title.
The
Boss des Bosses was taken home by the team from Zermatt
from under the noses of Chamonix. With the assistance
of Les Grands Montets and the co-operations of the IFSA,
GBSC and the IFS, the course was the widely regarded
as the one of the safest and most exciting in Europe.
The
Boarder X was dominated by the F2 team, who also sponsored
the Boarder X event. Skier X attracted over 100 skiers
with professional interest from as far a field as Canada,
Japan and the USA.
