Making
Broadcast History
LiveTX
made broadcast history on December 8th 1999, demonstrating
its pioneering Remote Broadcast Unit to BBC1's Tomorrow's
World.
LiveTX
were searching for a location that epitomised remoteness.
The options soon narrowed down to a choice between Timbuktu
or Outer Mongolia.
Journeying
to Mongolia would involve three flights, jeeps and camels,
to arrive at our accommodation, a traditional Ger, providing
a perfect test of portability and content for an attempt
at the World's first remote live
streaming video pictures to be sent across the Internet.
